We offer several features which provides information through mobile phones :

To plan a journey on any phone which has an internet browser and a data connection we recommend that you link to our "large text" page.

For the iPhone and iPod Touch we now have a traveline south & east app .... it offers both journey planning across our regions (including train and coach throughout Britain) and NextBuses across the whole of Britain. It's available for a small charge from the App Store.

For details of next departures from any bus stop in the region there are several options :

Traveline-txt is an SMS service ... send the code* for your stop to 84268. Each enquiry costs 25p plus one standard message.

you can use NextBuses with a mobile internet browser - just send "traveline" to 84268 and you will be sent a bookmark for this service. You only pay data charges to use this service.

For an iPhone or an iPod Touch, there are two apps which are powered by NextBuses: one is called NextBuses and the other is MyBus - both are available from the AppStore. You pay a small charge for the app - but only data charges to use it

For an Android phone there are two apps powered by NextBuses. One is called CatchThatBus and the other is Transicast UK - both are available from the Android Market. Again you pay a small charge for the app - but only data charges to use it

* To find the code for a stop you can click "more" in the buttons above, and then select "the code for my stop". Alternatively we show the codes on journey plans, on separate pages at the back of each service timetable in pdf format, or in the mouse-over text for each stop of an on-screen (HTML) service timetable. And they are on Google Maps, too. You can use the code in the traveline-txt SMS service or in the NextBuses service.
